THA SHAN’T STING

Premium 3-Layer Ventilated Bee Suit

Proper gear for hard-graftin' beekeepers.

Right then.

You've got bees.

They've got opinions.

And you've got a hive that needs sorting.

So we've made Tha Shan’t Sting! — a proper substantial beekeeping suit designed for everyday graft around t' apiary.

Three layers of ventilated mesh, heavy-duty zips and a detachable veil.

Because sweating like a Sunday dinner whilst being chased by several thousand angry flying things isn't anybody's idea of a grand afternoon.

THREE LAYERS. PROPER SEPARATION.

Now then, here's t' clever bit.

We've built this suit with three substantial layers of mesh, creating multiple layers and a generous physical separation between t' outside of t' suit and thee.

The design is intended to help keep t' bees and thy skin separated during normal apiary work, whilst t' open mesh lets air circulate.

So, in scientific Yorkshire terminology:

There's a fair bit of suit between thee and t' bees.

It gives thee a substantial physical barrier without turning thee into a walking sauna.

And whilst we're being straight with thee:

It isn't a magic force field.

No beekeeping garment can guarantee that a sting will never happen.

CHUFFIN' TOUGH ZIPS

We've fitted heavy-duty zips throughout because there's nowt worse than a zip deciding to give up when thas halfway through a hive inspection.

Overlapping hook-and-loop storm flaps cover t' main zip areas, helping keep everything properly closed whilst thas working.

Zip it up.

Check it twice.

Then get on wi t' graft.

THE VEIL

A rigid matte-black mesh veil gives thi a clear field of view whilst helping reduce distracting glare in bright sunshine.

It's detachable too.

Because sometimes t' veil needs a wash after you've spent the afternoon wearing it like a human chimney.

BUILT FOR T' APIARY

We've packed plenty into it:

• Three-layer ventilated mesh — because overheating isn't part of t' job description

• Heavy-duty zips — less faffing, more grafting

• Overlapping storm flaps — extra coverage around t' zip areas

• Detachable veil — handy for cleaning

• Deep pockets — hive tools, markers, phone and probably something you've forgotten you put in there

• Elasticated wrists and ankles — helps keep things where they're supposed to be

• Thumb and foot loops — helps stop sleeves and trouser legs wandering off during work

WHY THREE LAYERS?

Because one layer's good.

Two's better.

And three?

Well, we're Yorkshire aren't we?.... We like getting our money's worth!

The layered mesh construction creates physical separation between t' outside of t' garment and t' wearer whilst allowing air to circulate through t' suit.

It's designed to help keep t' bees and thy skin separated during normal apiary work.

But no beekeeping garment can guarantee protection against bee stings.

A sting may occur through, around or at openings in t' garment, including seams, zips, cuffs, ankles, t' veil or other areas.

So don't go poking t' suit at an angry hive shouting:

“COME ON THEN, THA LITTLE BUGGER.”

That's not what it's designed for.

BEFORE THA HEADS OUT TO T' HIVES

Give thi suit a proper once-over.

Check:

βœ“ Mesh and fabric for holes or damage

βœ“ All zips are working properly

βœ“ Closures and storm flaps are secured

βœ“ Cuffs and ankles are properly closed

βœ“ Veil is correctly attached

βœ“ Nothing's torn, broken or looking a bit suspicious

If it's damaged, don't wear it.

Get it repaired or replaced before heading back to t' bees.

And remember:

Calm beekeeper. Calm movements. Sensible clothing.

T' bees may still disagree with thi, but at least tha's prepared.

IMPORTANT — SERIOUS BIT, SO PAY ATTENTION

We like a laugh.

Bee stings don't.

No beekeeping garment can guarantee protection against bee stings.

This garment is designed as a physical barrier for normal apiary work. It is not a medical device and must not be relied upon to prevent or treat an allergic reaction to insect venom.

If tha has a known severe allergy to bee venom, seek appropriate medical advice before undertaking beekeeping activities.

Use sensible beekeeping practices and any additional protective equipment appropriate for t' job.

MATERIALS

Main fabric: 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton

Mesh components: Synthetic mesh

Please refer to t' garment label for t' applicable fibre composition of individual textile components.

LOOK AFTER THY SUIT

Take t' veil off before washing.

Machine wash warm

Do not bleach

Do not tumble dry

Iron on low heat

Let t' suit and veil dry properly before putting 'em away.

Don't leave it stuffed in t' back of t' van until next spring.

It deserves better than that.
